Please be very wary using usc.co.uk

Hi all, please be aware that usc.co.uk have some serious issues with their online payments right now and are not concerned in the slightest, so here's what happened to me today for your information and to help you decide wether you really want to use them at the moment.

My wife want some Uggs for Christmas, so I went to usc.co.uk armed with a discount code to get them. Total £128 including delivery, (after code).
I used my credit card as I always do with larger purchases for the protection. When it came to paying the website told me there was a problem taking payment and to try again in a few minutes. I tried again in a few minutes and received the same message. Then again and again. No luck. I then tried my debit card in case there was an issue with the credit card, same message.

As I was about to try my debit card again, my credit card people called me and asked if I had it with me. When I said yes, they told me it had been used 6 times for a transaction of £128 each time at usc.co.uk. They cancelled it on the spot and are sending me a new one.

I called my bank and guess what? The debit card has been debited for £128 too.

I called usc.co.uk customer services who informed me that there was no action on my account and that there were no issues with their systems. They also said any money taken in error would be returned to any cards within a few working days, (even cancelled ones?). No matter what I said they would not take me or this matter seriously, when there must be something very wrong with their systems right now. They blamed me saying that I must have made an error with the card details I entered. So that would be 2 cards, and the errors were so bad that money was taken 7 times in total for no order?

The CS person also told me that they've had 700 orders this morning, (they didn't laugh when I asked them to divide that by 7), and that 9 out of 10 orders show no problems, (so 10% DO show problems)?

You have been warned. I will keep you advised as to what happens now, but my shopping trip this weekend is now cancelled due to no credit card .
