This is a great deal. Thanks for the head up. Have been waiting for some offers to include the date of our Wedding in our hometown. I've set a reminder on my phone so I really hope we get some rooms!

Can anyone recommend the best Travelodges for London - by best I think I mean 'least rough' area and somewhere you can get back to easily late at night (thinking of seeing a show whilst there). I don't know London very well (at all!),

Also, when is says 6am - am I right in thinking that sometimes they just release the rooms early without advertising that fact?

London Southwalk is really nice, I stayed there in October this year, the staff are very helpful and friendly and its a 2 mins walk from the tube, I was there on my own with 3 daughters and i felt perfectly safe.
The hotel was really clean, basic rooms but everything you need, I will definetly be looking for a £9 bargain to go again

    Ive stayed in the following:

Covent garden - good safe if you check in at High Holborn one - not stayed in Dury lane one but have heard negative comments about that one. Large rooms, I like the 13th floor ones. 5 mins walk to Tott Court Rd tube.

Marylebone - right by the tube and M&S food shop - tired rooms in need of decorating but for £9 fine. Safe at night but rooms can be noisy as double glazing not great.

Farrington - 1 of the 3 near Kings cross but still a 10 min walk and pretty quiet walk needs updating.

Old Street - nice and new but bit of a walk from the tube, bit quiet at night.

Euston - very good location like this one - windows all locked as air con in rooms. Right by tube/bus.

I will have to try and get up early as in leave netbook on by bed and try to book as Im after Bristol for the end of May (but that is the only TL I dont like well rough there but need a cheap room so will see if any going)

Ive booked rooms anytime between 2-6am so annoying to get up 2am and Its not on - and they always do this when Im due to go out straight from work:rolleyes:)

Could anyone help with Edinburgh, which Travelodge is best for doing the tourist things, as we are planning to go next March for our 10th Wedding Anniversary.

    Thanks in advance

Avoid the Kings Cross Travelodge, both of them!! Absolutely awful, staff were unhelpful, very unclean rooms, even at £9 a night would not be worth it. At the Kings Cross Royal Scot i asked to get a refund on the second night the night before as we had found another hotel to book into (same price as the travelodge as we'd booked last min but you couldn't compare the standards) and having cancelled my room in the summer, i only received my refund last week, after 4 months of calling, writing letters, emailing and complaining at other travelodges i subsequently stayed in!

Have a room booked at the covent garden one (booked in a £9 sale prior to my stay at kings cross) so really hoping that it's not the same!

Edin Central (5 minutes walk from Waverley Station) but if you`re taking a car West End (free parking and within 10 mins walking to Princes St.)

We (family of 4) stayed in london city road last april. It was modern, clean and felt safe and the breakfast was excellent. Midway between old st (so good for those arriving at Kings cross) and moorgate tubes at either end of the street. Bus for waterloo station stops at the door and we used this when going for the train to legoland windsor.

6am IS the middle of the night! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Could not agree more. 6am is bed time, not getting up time. If only I could get my employers to agree with me. I don't do mornings.
    Iva started Dec 2018.
  • I am looking forward to this one! Fingers crossed I can get a room somewhere on a date I want
