New Credit Card do i Switch?

Hello all,
first post here so be gentle,

basically in around £5000 debt inc Finance on Car,(3000)
got into debt a few years ago when i was a younger and alot more stupider!
basically used to go out when i had no money and spent all the cash on the credit card.

i have two credit cards i owe
around £1300 on one and
£250 on another

and i have little direct debit accounts all over the place,
to be honest i dont know were i stand with me,
i have a income of around £1200 a month after Tax, but have a family to feed ( 2girls)
my wife does not work as im a soldier and tend to go away at very short notice and alot, so shes a fulltime mum, as my daughters are 4 and 1,

my credit file is poor i believe, as i tried getting a load ages ago to consolidate my finances,

but ive recently got accepted a new crediot card so do i transfer or not???

You need to post up a statement of affairs so you know exactly where you stand.

Also, it may be worth checking your credit file to check that all the accounts you have are included. Not worth paying to see your credit score though.

If the card has a lower APR (0% would be great), then it would be worthwhile transferring as you would be paying less in interest.
