slow cooker sausages - not browned

Hi, i have put some sausages in my slow cooker with stock, 2 x tins tomatoes, garlic, onion, lentils. I tried to brown the sausages in a little oil first but they just ruined my pan and didn't brown at all - i realise now that i should have probably dry fried them to brown them.
My question is will they be OK done in the slow cooker - i will probably cook on low for about 7 hours.
Thanks

they'll be fine, just like boiled sausages. I sometimes dont brown mine, they are a bit softer on the outside but cooked all through just the same.0

they will be cooked fine, they will just be pale and soft and spooky.. i actually love them like this ;-)0

The browning is just to developed the caramelly, meaty flavour on the surface, it won't affect the cooking at all.0

Spooky - I just love this description, yes they are a bit when done like this, but I too love them like this - until I remember all the sausage fat has gone into the sauce, not dripped away:D. Makes it tasty tho:cool:!
It's only a game

Next time brown them under a high grill. Fast and less fat.Val.0
