1 year on....

Today marks the first full year of my Debt Free quest! And wow... what a ride it's been!

I've survived balliff letters, visits and threats. I've survived DC's calling the house which is x directory every so often. I've survived on my small monthly budget. I've survived paying for half the funeral and headstone for my beloved late mother in law. I've survived the scrimping and saving and just getting by. I've survived a house move and a "do it on a budget" decorating mission! I've survived a whole year of 1 night a week "lets look at the bills" moments. And best of all... I had a family holiday and it was fantastic!

This is just the start of "what I've survived"... and I'll keep doing it day in and day out until the last little bit of money I owe is paid back and I can look back on year one and say... it has been the best year of my life!

Thank you to each one of you who've been there when you don't realise it. Thank you to each one of you who've posted something that has struck me as insightful, knowledgable and most of all supportive! I may not post on this site very often these days... but I'm always lurking!

Thanks to you all!

    HIi,
Well done on surviving your first year of debt busting! It is so encouraging to see people post to say " Hey, I suvived that and it wasn't so bad". I've been at it since June and so far feel its been a very positive experience. I have learnt so much and have grown in confidence and second what you say to everyone on here KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
