Paying twice the price for a 'proper' netbook would be far, far better value. Don't confuse Windows CE for anything like the Windows that you have on your PC.

Indeed. This is not running an Intel CPU, but probably some underpowered ARM. You cannot install applications or plugins - so you are limited to what is included. And 64MB of memory mean that it will struggle loading even moderately complicated pages. Cheap yes, value no.

    Yes it can. Very bad.
The Net Browser will not be able to display Flash-based websites. Not suitable for corporate email access. Not suitable for use with broadband dongles.

So it doesn't really work with the internet.

Think how disappointed the person you gave it tp for Christmas will be when he or she tries to access a website and it doesn't work. If it's a grown up they'll try and hide their disappointment, if it's a child you will have ruined her Christmas even after spending nearly a hundred pounds.

Flash based websites - just to spell that out - that's YouTube, iPlayer and most other streaming sites you watch or listen to. And there won't be any drivers for any 3g dongle you plug in either. Wonder if it'll run Google ChromeOS though...

Although a good price for what it is - it will be like having a large mobile phone to go on the internet with - No 'proper' version of windows and most websites will not work properly
Thanks for the info though !
