Can anyone please advise? My partner and I are in the process of moving house. Our mortgage lender would not lend the extra that we needed to borrow for the new property due to one debt on my partners credit file and low income. Based on my income alone the bank have agreed that we can have a mortgage but it would only be in my name.
Can I still put the title deeds in both of our names? My partner has lived in our current house longer than I have and we both want to have an equal 50/50 share.
Has anyone had a similar experience. Is there any way for us to legally have a 50/50 share should the worst happen?
