Tesco Clubcard

I have a Tesco Clubcard, and some of my vouchers are coming up to expiry at the end of November.

I would rather save the vouchers for something I can really benefit from instead of using them now.

I'm sure someone mentioned that if you send the vouchers back to their freepost address, they can credit them back on to the clubcard, but I'd rather know for sure that they would do this before sending them back. If they don't credit the points back, then I'd rather get something from the rewards instead of nothing.

  • i would call their customer services - some of my dads expired and he was very upset (i think it was £200 worth - so £800 on deals!) they cancelled his old vouchers - not that they wud wrk anyway and sent him out new ones with his next statement.
  • I just recycled my November ones by ordering small amounts of restaurant vouchers (the minimum £2.50) so the rest of the clubcard voucher is not used and will be reissued next quarter. I may use the restaurant vouchers or send them back and they will be recredited to my account next quarter.

    I hope this makes sense.
  • Mini Bear, you mean that if you just let them lapse, and throw them away, then they just credited the value back, or do you mean they sent the vouchers that he was due to get back anyway from the 3 months worth of shopping.

Harriet, once you've ordered the deals vouchers, does that mean you can still send back the vouchers even once converted if you don't use them up in time?

Excellent idea, I was in the same boat. Ordered some £2.50 tenpin vouchers, so now I get a nights bowling & can still renew my RAC next august :j
    Next year we'll be millionaires!

Order the full value in any deal and return them to Tesco and they'll credit them back to your account in full IME.

Yes, just send the deals vouchers back before they run out (6 months) and say your plans have changed or something and you wont be able to use them and they will recredit your account,

Don't let your clubcard vouchers expire as they are much stricter these days about letting you have the points back.
  • The credited the time-expired points back onto his clubcard and sent them out with his next 3 months statement.
As Harriet has said tho if they are stricter now i would call them up and check first.
  • Just been on the phone to Tesco Clubcard, and with no problems, they agreed to cancel the vouchers, and add the points back to my account.
