Day in court update.

Thanx to everyone who posted hugs yesterday I did need it.

Anyway of I went to court this morning, Was told to sit and wait as the judge had three of us to see and he would do it when he had a slot !,
Waited, waited and waited for what seemed like forever (about 15 mins)
Then they called us in one by one and what do ya know .... I was last !!
By this point i was ready just to run away, but No I came here to sort this mess out and by god I was going to do it (gulp)
Then came my time, I was shuffled into a mid sized room with a load of chairs and i big desk at the front and asked to sit down, The judge then asked my if I had been bankrupt before and did i know the effect it would have on me.
He then flicked through my petition and SOA and calmly said to the clerk "same form as the others" and that was it !!!
The clerk then said i had to wait again as they would call th OR and i would have to have a chat with them, This lasted about 5 mins and they just told me what would happen next which is just sorting out the interview with them.
With that i was given my certificate of bankrutcy and of i went.

And what do you know three hours later a bailiff arrived at the house, My OH took great pleasure in giving him a copy of the judgment of off he went on his merry way PHEW !!

Sorry it's a bit long winded but a few of you asked me to let you know what happened.

I have got to say I now feel about ten stone lighter, It's not for everybody and it is a last resort but to be honest I can now start to rebuild whats left of my life.

Once again thanx to everybody for there support, It makes such a difference.

I'm glad you feel better and that it wasn't a horrific experience.

Good luck with the future...perhaps you will hang around a while the MSE board to share ways to make a safer future financially?

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
