I remember reading that Stuart Rose has ruled out 20% days this year and with the 12.5% vouchers running in November as well as December, I cannot see it happening....it would make him look a fool.
Marks are doing much better this year, the new chairman was announced yesterday and was well received. I cannot see a 20% day unless they were in real trouble.
Just seen a TV advert stating that there will be £20 of Marks and Spencers money saving vouchers in this Saturday's Times - no details as yet but just a heads up

My mates wife is a more senior member of staff at a big M&S near here, I asked her a few months ago about this. She said had been told to tell customers they wouldn't be doing a 20% day this year as they were finding people were waiting for one rather than buying things now.
When I said was that just a ruse to cover up that they would be doing one she said she didn't think so as the company was doing a lot better. She said she had also heard that if they were going to do one, it might be part of the sales later in the year.0 -

M&S has disappeared off the Quidco website! It was in my favourites as well. Does anyone know why or if it just a glitch? M&S home/car insurance is still there, bizarrely.0
