  • Morning all, not been on here properly for a while so thought I'd do an update.

Yesterday we started to clear out DH's Grandma's house which was really hard, none of us cried until we found an envelope addressed to us with a poem in about death - she must have put it in this envelope many months ago & knew we would find it when the time came. That was a shock, my eldest DD started crying first then none of us could stop for a while.

The girls have both got some jewellery & other bits from the house so I think that will help them, although eldest DD found a photo of her Gran that she seems to be getting upset over a lot so hoping she feels a little better about that soon.

Still toying with the ideas/thoughts that DH & MIL have had about the house, I'm not 100% sure what to do about it yet but know that DH/MIL both need to be able to move on so need to make some decisions quickly. Can't really say anymore here & can't say on facebook yet as don't want other people knowing what might be happening.

Still not won anything this year yet, I know it's only 10 days but the last win in this house was the Wii game my youngest DD won before Christmas so feel like that's a long time as I used to win 2-3 items a week most of last year. Doesn't help that I'm not always in the mood to comp now, I just can't be bothered sometimes so no wonder I'm not winning anything lol.
2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,

PMS ... I haven't won anything this year either, the last thing I received was on Xmas Eve and it feels like forever ago

I have to go on Jury Service as of tomorrow, I've worried about it all over Xmas and New Year and I feel sick today at the thought of it. I don't understand why people who really don't want to do it still have to, I'm not sure how I'm going to cope tomorrow, I just feel like crying. I hate strange places and strange people and crowds. I think that's why I've stayed in a job I don't particularly like for the past 7 years.

Mel, i think tmk done this recently? i might be wrong, but she could advise u, i hope u r ok, im like u i dont do outside world unless i have to or am on a very good day,
maybe treat it as an exercise to see what really goes on behind the scenes? from what i gather it's a lot of waiting around the first day or so, and if u aren't picked u get to go home.
maybe with weather they might postpone it xxx hope u r ok xxx

Pms, so sorry, thinking of u xxxx

Hey Mel I've never done it myself but have heard the same as Toni - that you have to wait around a lot and might not even get used. I'm wish you on strange places and crowds but really hope it's ok. I know you've got books ready etc - just sit yourself in a corner and immerse yourself in those unless you are called in... try not to worry about it I'm sure it'll be fine xxxxxxxx

PMS thinking of you and your family xxxxxx

PMS my thoughts are with. Big hugs for you and your family.

Mel I also have heard you wait around a lot and may not even be used in which case you don't have to bother about it again for a long time if ever. I don't do crowds as I can't cope with the noise and the feeling of being closed in so I can understand how you feel.

    Have a lucky day all

edit. Just read back a bit I like your post about my sig Toni. Must say I didn't even notice but now I have I will need to be careful if I am lucky enough to win anything else about the order I put it down in lol.
If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.
