Just read last night as well that the company had thrown bits over people fences(debs thread), I had stuff taken delivered by next directory once, took them months to investigate and it was a nightmare :mad:

I might be confusing with anothe of the many diff orders I've place with various places recently but wasn't there a delivery instructions box? I used to have to put "do not leave with neighbours" at my old address because they were all thieving scum :rolleyes:

I did 2 seperate orders on the 17th, one arrived on the 19th and the other the 20th HTH

Sammi- bee yes thorntons does give the option to leave 'somewhere safe' ... strange though some of the places where they have left the parcels dont seem very 'safe' !!

Did anyone else have a problem placing their order Wednesday?

I tried twice and both times was told - sorry problem with the site, try again later. Anyway didn't get to try again until Thursday but then received an e-mail to say my first order had been dispatched. I never received any confirmation that this order had been accepted.

I don't want two lots (well obviously it is chocolate so I do want two lots really) so called Thorntons to cancel the second order. I was told that was fine and that my CC would have the charge for this order refunded and it would be cancelled. However have now received an e-mail to say this order has been dispatched too! I am never at home when my parcels arrive so I can't refuse delivery - I just hope Thorntons don't want me to pay to return it.

I ordered about 10pm on Tuesday night. Delivery came sometime on Friday morning. I had 6 of the iced santas and reindeer so was very impressed with the speed of delivery.

Have you all been given tracking info in your despatch email?
Mine has said 'package out for delivery' since thursday morning!

My choccy has arrived!! in a rush so can't open yet
I'm sure it's all good and luckily the guy that delivers brings me all my next/mandmdirect orders plus some others so 'knows' me (I am so a shopaholic!) so the box looks pristine
