House smells of smoke

in Old style MoneySaving
Just got home from work to find my daughter has burnt something in the microwave and there is a strong smell of smoke throughout the house. Any ideas how to get rid of it (OS or any other method would do).

    maybe some bowls of bicarb around the kitchen/surrounding areas might absorb some of the smell? Not sure though,
