Do you want a TV Money Makeover from Martin?

Martin will be going into a family's home to give a full Money Makeover for a new programme for ITV1 Tonight (currently 8pm Mon-Fri) in the New Year. In other words, investigating every single bit of their finances to see how much can be saved in a day.

If you are an individual or a family interested in taking part please see if you fit the bill.

What ITV is looking for
  • Someone willing to talk about their finances on television.
  • Someone who hasn't really tried to sort their cash out before (if you've been using this site a lot you're probably not suitable).
  • Someone with a mix of issues – debts, savings, mortgage, utilities, insurance, food shopping, over-spending.
  • Someone who's not afraid to be chatty on camera and be honest and upfront about their situation.
  • However, if you are in severe debt crisis, this time it isn't for you – as this is more about household bills and saving money than radical surgery. If you are struggling please read the debt help guide.
What will happen

The producers will contact some of the volunteers and ask them to fill out a questionnaire – once a suitable case study is picked Martin will come and spend a day (probably pre-Christmas) trying to see how much cash he can save you.

How to volunteer

Please email Nicola Corrigan at Nicola.Corrigan@ITV.com with some basic details about you, your family, your situation, and include a daytime phone number please.

Would be nice but we are not so much in debt crisis as debt apocalypse! we have an IVA now which is going well so we are on track to sorting it and feel so much better now. Hope some of the newbies on this forum (the ones not yet in crisis of course) put their names forward! Look forward to seeing the show in the New Year.

Excellent, I think we would frighten the life out of poor Martin though just because of how clueless we are!!!!! we are paying off loans that we dont even know what they were originally for! To be honest I couldnt admit how bad we are on television so we will just continue drowning in a sea of thick black mud. however I will be watching every episode hoping to pick up a few tips.........
