Garlic bread in the BM?

i make the roll dough let it free form on a big tray, make lots of deep slits to make criss crosses , about 5-8 mins before it is finished cooking i add HM garlic butter to all the grooves and when finished its a great garlic tear and share

I make it on the dough setting, add a handful of dried onions if you have some and a SMALL amount of garlic powder. I then make small balls of dough and then mould them together to make an oblong shape. I leave to double again then spread garlic/parsley butter and cook. Its HM tear and share garlic bread and always goes down well.
I use someones suggestion (sorry can't remember who?)of the Apple Braid dough recipe but just halve the sugar in it.0 -
i want to make pizza style garlic bread, using the dough function on my breadmaker ( new to breadmaking) was wondering if anyone has done this before, and if so do you have a good recipe for the topping?0

I don't have a breadmaker so can't help with that, but I make my own garlic bread and for the topping I just mix butter, fresh crushed garlic and dried parsley (not essential, but it makes it look pretty). I don't normally weigh or measure it, I just put 'enough' butter out to soften and then mix in a clove or so of garlic and the parsley. If I'm feeling really bad then I'll sprinkle the topped garlic bread with a bit of parmesan just before baking to get a cripsy cheesy top, but I don't do this often lol!0

thanks so much, i made the topping before, but i think it was overkill with the garlic, and i love the stuff.
I have my slowcooker going and going to put the breadmaker on its dough cycle so the kids walk in to a comfort meal, all this snow is making me crave comfort food, and them too.0 -
Aldis do little rolls of garlic butter and I just make up a french loaf on the dough cycle shape it and before the 2nd prove I cut diagonal slits along the length add slices of the butter and bake in a hot oven - works every timeBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
