Got Calpol sugar free 2+ months 100ml today at my local Tesco for only £1.50 - was not on special offer, this seems to be the price. Almost half of what I pay at Boots!

Poundland sells paracetamol (no brand) at - well, a pound. I only just noticed that, so it is going to be our supply now.Got Calpol sugar free 2+ months 100ml today at my local Tesco for only £1.50 - was not on special offer, this seems to be the price. Almost half of what I pay at Boots!

I seem to remember getting paracetamol suspension free of charge at our local Boots, under the "minor ailments scheme". If your child had a range of fairly basic illnesses (colds/flus included, sore throats etc.) the pharmacist would take a look at them and then prescribe the medication free of charge - the point being that it is more cost efficient than the child going to the doctors and the same outcome occurring. Don't know whether it is still available ( I am going back about 18 months), but might be worth a check/ask next time you are in the Docs or Boots. Of course most of us like to keep some stuff in, so the above is still a good bargain, and I agree with thsths too, we got nurofen suspension from our local poundland. HTH, Sal x0

Nice for my 6 yr old daughters gums with her new back tooth coming through, and nice for mummys mouth where she bit a chunk out of it whilst talking and eating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:heart2::heart2::heart2: I LOVE MY BEAGLE! :heart2::heart2::heart2:0

Obviously there's the generic chemist's own brands which are cheaper, but I used to buy the Calpol 6+ too. It's doubly concentrated so you only give half the dose to younger ones (I used dosing syringe so no mistakes), and therefore it's cheaper than the younger version.
Shame it took me until my elder son was 6 to work this out, but at least it was cheaper for the little one!
It's only a game

just to point out normal bonjela should not be given to under 16s now its only the bonjela teething gel thats suitable, this is due to some active ingredients in normal bonjela not being suitable for under 16s.
