Do low energy light bulbs for use with dimmer switches exist and if so where can you get them?

Yes they do go to https://www.scottishpower.co.uk
and take a look at the domestic energy efficiency section

Thanks for that. On futher inspection, the "dimmer" in this case is a switch on the bulb itself. I need bulbs that are compatible with a dimmable lamp that I have.

I think it's technically not possible. The electronics behind an energy saving bulb need full power to work and using a dimmer means they won't get full power. I guess the dimmer on teh scottishpower bulbs work after the electronics?

    Looking here

It seems to suggest that switching the power on and off i.e. the light switch at the wall changes the bulb from full light to dimmer mode.

Strange way of doing things then again a lot of technology goes into the making of the things.
