Hello Everyone.

I'm at my "other" job today - been busy all morning just time now to put me feet up. I'm making coffee - anyone up for a cup.

I must check out the second life thingy... it's got my attention hearing all about it.

Loved all the smilies posted last night, seriously if you take offence over a smiley then it is time to call it a day.

It may be Martin's site and forum, but it's the users and readers that ultimately pay the bills.

Seems to be getting to the stage where he is forgetting that.

Well said BAAB, it is pity that this is happening. Without this site I do not know how I would have coped these last few months. I hope we do not lose any of the valued forumites, as that would be a disaster.:eek::eek::eek:

Probably not as strongly as you I must admit , but the attitude that has been displayed certainly annoys and upsets me.

As "newbie" the help and advice I have got and the support has just been amazing from lovely people who have gone through what I am going through.

Seriously a couple of smilies...... someone, somewhere losing the plot.

I write a blog on my local newspaper a site and we had a similiar thing (not with smilies but with some content) and it was really a case of it's my site what i say goes, if you don't like it then go elsewhere, and they forget the readers and bloggers and it made that site go very quiet for a long while.

From a personal point of view thank you all so much for the advice, even just reading other people's thread have helped, I would never have got this far without all of your help and I promise I never would get offended over a smiley, infact they normally make me SMILE!

Phew - anyone for a beer?:beer:
