I did some Christmas shopping today - bought DS his big pressie and I've been window shopping on ebay for a car. I'm thinking of replacing the one that was kindly repo'd last year! I thought it would be a good idea to get a cheapie runabout so DS and DD can practice driving - my thinking is that it will be MSE to save on driving lessons. Still I need to see if I can really afford to run a car atm.

I've had a wonderful day - thank you all for your birthday wishes!!

    Driving lessons are so expensive!
I take my step dad out for practice between lessons. I'd say that it would prob cut down the number of "lessons" needed before test.

I've spent a good couple of hours on comparison sites and cheapest I got is £700, thats not too bad considering its for 2 learner drivers. Still I have to see if I can afford it. The most expensive quote that came through was £12k!!! They must be having a laugh:rotfl::rotfl:, I didn't think it was funny though.

Got the BI figure through so I need to pay that first then see.

Hmm its a bit of an institution with my OH every christmas we go to her relatives for a few days..day after boxing day she always wants to go to the metro centre in newcastle to spend her christmas vouchers.....thankfully being pregnant may fingers crossed make her change her mind for the 1st time in 9yrs.....I hate crowds especially there usually I leave her & sit in a coffee shop till she's finished

Aaaaah the Gateshead Metro Centre, I wouldn't dream of it being pregnant and sales... the north easterners get a tad bit carried away when bargain hunting. What biscuits do you like Phil? ;)
