    Any one want to come and dig my car out of 13 inches of snow
    Just got a text of my boss telling if me who ever isn't in tomorrow because of the weather will be having a meeting with HR :(

    I took this off the BBC website.

    Q. Anything else for bosses to bear in mind?
    Bear in mind there is a potential health and safety implication. If authorities are telling people to stay at home unless their journey is essential then, potentially, you may not want to put too much pressure on people to return to work.
    Employers have a duty of care to their employees and a potential liability may exist if employees were pressurised into travelling by car or foot when conditions were dangerous. Employers should therefore take a balanced approach between encouraging employees to make all reasonable efforts to get to work and forcing them into a situation where they feel they have no alternative but to travel to work or risk facing possible disciplinary action.

    NM - thank you so much. I've copied that and saved it.

    I went out before trying to dig it, -4 up here I ended up having an asthma attack, nearly falling over in the snow. So I came back in

    OH doesn't get home till 11:30pm - he's been out since 9am because buses are not running a full service

    Now, this has got me worried, there is a thread on CAG, where one poster gives a daily update of the type of knickers she is wearing....................

    Now.............

    Im not sure, me, or several other posters can handle it, if it gets to that leval:eek::p:rotfl:

    So here I am, browsing, because I am not the kind of girl who frequents Inns, oh no, because I am [STRIKE]rarely allowed back a second time[/STRIKE] a good girl, I am...

    And I see your post. With a link. So, I click on the link (a lifetime of reading fairy tales means that I know this will lead me to the truth).

    And, the first thing I see, on the link which will lead me to a thread about women's underwear is this advert:

    Are you visually impaired? Do you have other reading problems?

    :confused::confused:

    :rotfl:

    (Not that I believe in old wives' tales at all!)
