evenin all! alastair hope you feel better soon...
i can't get warm tonight, i'm wearing a jumper and a hoodie, am under my duvet and still cold! the heating's on but it's a very old house with high ceilings, no chance of getting it warm.. could do with a hot drink...anyone?0 -
Hi Alastair....hope you feeling better soon.....get wrapped up. Theres a brandy on the bar that should help you forget the flu symptoms;)
Confused....I`m the same....can`t get warmed up at all & I have fire & heating on full!! Fleece jumper & blanket over my shoulders. Even had an early horlicks but I`m still soooo cold!!0 -
I have got to go out tonight... roads are horrid took me 5 attempts to get up the hill earlier.. wheel spinning everywhere :-( intivted to a friends for a meal and my house overtaken by 8 teenagers having a dinner party. Just hope they clean up..0

hope you all feel warmer soon..i have jumpers and im under my duvet..have no heating til tomorrow cause run out of emergency gas grrrr..oh well bobble hats a re a good thing

Other side of town so im guess about 5 miles, the main roads are fine its only our estate thats bad as we on a hill and dead end road so no through traffic helping clear it...
I know we can glide down the hill just be a problem returning..
To be honest i wish i wasnt going.. but christmas spirit and all that.. bah humbug. good job she doesnt read these boards she would be mortified if she knew i didnt want to go!:o0 -
Beth....get a lecky blanket...they are divine & the house can be freezing but the bed is all nice & warm before you get in it! Great for aching muscles too.....hope you`re ok after our walk on Sunday.
NM - same here with the roads...still snow covered & packed ice now. I needed to go to Tatco later but shall manage without....its dangerous so please be careful.
I have some non alcoholic dark ginger wine & I am going to try it warmed up in the microwave.:o0 -

can you leave the car at the bottom of the hill till it clears or is it too far?
i'm sure she'd understand, the weather is out of your control
