When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Morning everyone:T
Hooray tis Tuesday....my quiet evening when DD2 is at guides and I lie on the sofa in PJs watching Holby City (ooh how sad do I sound??!!)
Nothing else on....work, home, dinner:o

Ok, list for today:
  • check banking
  • free bingo
  • daily scratchies
  • packed lunches to work
  • NSD hopefully
  • Dinner from plan - meatballs
  • Minced beef out of freezer for dinner
Orange sent me a text yesterday to say my best plan would be to drop to a different plan - so now I'm on £20 a month, not £30....excellent:p
Ok....off I go....
Have a lovely day everyone:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

crawley girl - sounds like you do the same job as me.

fay - from yesterday "make 2 balls for christmas pressies". i made 2 cloth balls for the new babies in the family. they are soft for them to play with and squidgy so they can hold them. hope that makes sense

  • Hi All!!

Didn't get round to posting yesterday as had a REALLY long day at work.... working from home today, so should be a bit easier, but, must try not to get too distracted by these messge boards!

    Today I have/will:

    Checked banking
    Checked quidco
Bought cotbed on line using voucher, not a NSD (by a long way!!) however lovely parents are chipping in so it won't be too bad at all and as it is the only large item we will have contributed to for the baby I can't complain as we have had many generous donations for the nursery and buggy etc...
    Tea from stores
    Complete expenses
Work hard so I can get lots done and hopefully the rest of the week will be easier!
No heating on whilst at home working

    Have a great day everyone
