Anyone know the dimensions and if it's USB 2.0?
EDIT: ...and, could it be used as a portable hard drive?
(My technical skills are limited!!!)0 -
I dont know about this item, but i do know that most MoS hardware is produced by a really crappy make, something like Bush.A bargain is only a bargain if you would have brought it anyway!0

This seems a good buy but... I've recently seen a review of MP3 players in which the MoS one came out as poor sound quality. This is a bargain (I've just paid £60 for a 1GB Creative) unless you're a really fussy listener (about the sound quality). Can't remember where the review was (might have been which?).
Good post tho'!The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
Its actually an EMI OEM manufactured product. Been badged and resold by Goodmans, Bush, e-digital and Classic too. The 10GB version of this is called CHD1000 or XP3 (Search google and you'll see what I mean) Here is a link

It looks awful and has some pretty bad reviews. The software is musicmatch jukebox which is truly shocking software. However, better 'drag and drop' software is available to download if you search around.
Why do I know this? Well, I have a Goodmans badged one and I have spent the last 2 years waiting for it to break or go wrong. But it won't. This thing is indestructable, and a real bargain! (I paid £100) All you need are the right drivers which go with the better software and its really easy to use. Don't expect the smooth interface of an ipod, just expect straightforward easy to use.
(I have the better software stored safely on my pc)
Hope thats helpful if you're thinking of getting one.I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -
Thanks everyone,
Been looking for a large capacity mp3 player for a while now - looks don't bother me at all - as long as it works and sounds reasonable. I reckon for fifty quid, it must be worth a try, so I've gone ahead and bought one - I'll post feedback on here when it arrives (if there are still some in stock).
Cheers,
Keith0 -
Same as Keithsav, bought one today, not too worried about the size unless it has the dimensions of a shoebox.
Will also post a review if it arrives soon.0 -

Mine arrived yesterday & as predicted by carefulyorksman the Music Match software is (for me at any rate ) pretty useless.
Other than that, the player it'self looks fairly substantial (like a Sony Walkman) and I look forward to using it eventually.
I have PM'd carefulyorksman in the hope of some assistance & will post info re any success I may have.0 -
Hi,
Mine arrived today and I'm very impressed, it looks better 'in the flesh' than the piccy on Ebuyer. The MusicMatch software isn't very good (as predicted), but if you get hold of the MusicExplorer software (http://hardware.dmusic.com/files/musicexplorer/mexplorer.zip) it's a dream to use - simply drag and drop the albums you want into the Genre/Artist folder and away you go.
A decent write up of the player can be found at :-

Thanks to the OP for spotting this - 50 quid well spent !
HTH someone,
