Natwest loan, using an old address!
Hello all please forgive me if this is not written correctly I am new!
Sorry it’s a bit long winded!
Basically I and my partner took out secured loan with NatWest in April 2007. Recently we have been struggling with all our debt repayments and so decided to go and speak with our bank manager about consolidating our debt into 1 loan, his reply - 'he was unable to take out another loan for us because he had been told off about the previous loan he had taken out for us!!'
After a little bit more of a conversation with him it appears the 1st loan he did for us did not pass the credit agreement because we had only been in our new home for 4 months so he put it through in my partner’s previous address!!
Surely there are rules on this and clearly NatWest are aware if he had been in trouble about it? What makes it worse is that the loan was a joint loan and I never lived in my partner’s previous address this was our 1st home together!!
I am now wondering if the loan stands at all or could it be wrote off?

It cannot be written off - it is an internal mistake by Nat West and does not concern you.
You signed for the loan - sorry but you now need to repay it.0 -
You got what you wanted presumably? How it was approved by the bank is irrelevant now.0
