Have bought one today but dont intend on eating it for a while as stocked up on this weeks meat over the weekend. Seemed to be flying out of the freezers in my local as there were only about 4 left after i had taken mine.

Might be a bit slow, but I don't see what your point is...
Why would people complain about a reduction ?
  • OP, do you mean you have a complaint about the duck, and the manager was saying you were the only one; or are you asking people's opinions of the duck?

    It's only a game

  • I can't imagine a stuffed duck for a tenna can be great quality but i'd open the windows when you are cooking it, the smoke from duck when cooking is bad at the best of times, a fatty cheap one will be a mare!!

I was trying to get a reaction from anyone who had tried the stuffed
duck as to what they thought of it ie was there any meat on it ? or was I the only one to get stuffing wrapped in a duck skin? no pun intended.
As for them flying out the fridges mine never had enough muscle on it to climb out.:A
  • Ah but - did the duck have a happy and fulfilling life befire it was mercilessly taken from its flock, stuffed and put in the oven at gas mark whatever - thats the question I want answering - harrummpphhhh
  • A bit late but just picked up on this. Just like Still Hungry we bought one of these and just like Still Hungry we had a load of stuffing wrapped in duck skin with a couple of very dry legs!

We usually find Aldi produce to be of good quality but not this product. The only reason I am posting this is in case someone is relying on it for Xmas dinner and hoping to feed more than two of you

We always have the Aldi duck when it's on offer, it's good. Not much meat and lots of fat but that's the same for all ducks, the only better tasting duck is a proper Gressingham one, lush!

    Happy moneysaving all.

I had this and thought it was ok for 4.99 but would have been fed up if I had paid £10 for it, Not a great amount of meat, definitely more stuffing, but for just under a fiver it was fine!
  • Agree that for £4.99 it was OK. More than enough for two people but the stuffing did account for quite a lot.

So we had large portions (much more than we would normally have) on the first night and rather a lot of stuffing with the remaining cold meat the second.
