A bit confused with the I&E stuff

Blimey, I get a bit confused on the I & E stuff on the B/R forms.
On section 6 you have to state the total household income – fair enough.
Then on section 7 you list all your outgoings – again fair enough.
But the others in the house are not going B/R – how do you take into account their debts and expenses that they’ll continue to pay.
I guess you just have to work out your outgoings based what the others will be paying.
Sorry if this is not very clear – but this section has always confused me.
Would it be a good idea to enclose a full I&E – like the ones posted here with your B/R papers – so the OR gets more information.
Has anybody actually done this with their B/R papers?

In the outgoings you list all the household bills, in full, i.e rent/mortgage, utilities, housekeeping, household insurances, childrens costs etc., you also list your personal outgoings i.e your clothes, hair, travel, health, etc., but just for you not for anyone else.
In the income you put your whole income, any child benefit/ctc, and your partners contribution to the household bills, which, if you earn around the same will be 50%, but you can alter this up or down if they earn more or less than you.
Hope that makes sense!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Thanks Peachy that has greatly helped clarify things.
It was the contribution bit that confused me - you don't actually need to put anyone else's full income.
Which I thought you had to on section 6.8 on the forms.
That's made everything a lot simpler.
Sorry for being a bit dense.0 -
Out of interest has anyone sent their full I & E (like the ones we post here) with their B/R forms?0

Yep! several on here have done that. Just staple it at the back. Their OR's seem to appreciate it.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Thanks Tiger,
I think it is a great idea to do it.
It should make the interview a lot easier and quicker.0
