Youreable Discount Tens machines I've never used one but I gather that they help some people. I seem to remember hearing that they are heavy on batteries so you may need some rechargeables.

I regularly use a mini tens for my back and swear by it. I find it better than my old larger tens because it sticks to the skin and can be worn under clothes, bought mine for well under £20 this is a similar one

  • Might be worth trying one out before you buy - some surgeries will let you borrow one - I found I was hyper-sensitive to the sticky pads so the discomfort/bruising they caused wasn't worth the pain relief...

I would also recommend try before you buy. It can work wonders for a lot of people and can eliminate the need for pharmaceuticals ( a big bonus for a lot of people ). If you can access a physio or local gp to do this, they will issue you with a form which makes you VAT exempt, owing to the fact you have a medical condition.
  • My mum has arthritis and bought a tens machine because
of the severe pain in her shoulder, the machine did ease the
pain for a while, but the pain comes back after a while.
My mum needs a shoulder replacement.
They did have tens machines on offer in my local lloyds pharmacy
for £9.99. If you could get one at that price it would be worth it
for you. Take care Val x
