...the CC company bombard you with loan marketing! Having transferred my Mint card balance to the latest in my string of 0% CCs I'm getting so much marketing info from them. Today I came home to a £25K consolidation loan offer. Makes me so cross when there are vulnerable people out there. Fortunately I'm now a DFW and put it straight into the recycling bin

Good one! :T
On a similar note, I switched from British Gas recently and I keep getting stuff / phone calls from them offering all sorts of services.
Today they called to almost congratulate me (script!) on the fact that I could take out extra appliance insurance with them for just £3.69 per week.
I said "At the moment we are looking to cut all costs in the house not take on new ones so I'm going to have to say no I'm afraid...."
Poor girl, I put the phone down and wondered if she was a DFW and if she would understand where I was coming from with that!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010

I wish I'd found this site earlier and hadn't taken the path of consolidation.0 -

Me too- that's exactly what got me into this mess in the first place. I promised myself last time would be the final loan and I'd never get another CC or overdraft... less than 6 months later I'm in the same situation again, only this time worse cos I've got the loan too :eek:Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24
