I have one of those players. They are a great buy at that price.
Note the excellent battery life... 30 hours from one single AAA battery.0 -
Excuse me if I sound dim, but can you only use Itunes with apple? Could I put my Itunes onto one of these?0

Generally, yes only itunes go onto apple players.
My brother in law managed to find some software online which allowed him to get round it, but it was apparently very convoluted, and I'd not even know what direction to point you in for the software.
Sorry, I don't think that was very helpful was it:o0 -
I was very tempted by this offer, but was put off by the fact it's AAA powered. Something about using actual batteries which makes a gadget seem really old! Thanks for all the thanks

Why stick to Itunes fees. When you can buy MP3 panda for 5p per track, totally legit, as rec by MSE. I would not dream of by ripped off by itunes now, even though have their ipod touch, lol.0 -

I actually look for MP3 with batteries I can change.
1) Replacements are cheaper - Lithium cells fail after 1-3 years
2) You can use rechargeable AAA
3) When travelling you can carry spares
I know most folk will replace their MP3 players before the battery gets to the end of its life, but, again if your battery fails early you can replace it for a few pence!Seth.0 -

Have you got a link to where this is recommended by MSE?
Just checked out this site. Prices are in $ and vary according to track. Also came across this article.

I prefer 'actual' batteries, as the number of times mine's gone flat and I have to wait to re-charge it before I can listen again - really annoying!0
