Monday 16th November - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Good morning....here we are at Monday again:o
Another wet and windy one here, it's really not an incentive to get out of bed is it?!!
Quiet weekend for me - bit of shopping yesterday with the girls, while it was sunny....and a sneaky KFC for lunch;)
Yorkshier Belle - so sorry to hear about your Mum (((((hugs)))))....welcome back here:p
Big hugs to anyone else who needs one:p
Ok, better write a list for the day:
Have a lovely day all:D

Morning All
Thanks for starting the thread today Millie
Nice to see Yorkshire belle back on here – Hugs for your loss
Fay – many congrats on paying off Edna (you paid it off so quickly)
Sorry I didn’t get a chance to post over the weekend – my PC was out of action (hubby was installing Windows 7 and it took for ever) then I was clearing out my Nan’s house yesterday (and will be doing the same today)
As I am not at work, I had the chance of a lay in this morning – woke up at 8:30 (yay)
Today I have/will:
· Checked online banking – no change there
· Done daily scratch – 10p
· Meals from storecupboards
· Have an NSD
· Read up on the weekend’s forum
· I need to fill in my WW food diary (or the spreadsheet that I have)
· Finish off clearing my Nan’s house – she has moved into a care home and we need to clear her home so we can hand it back to the housing association
· Put a jumper on as there has been no heating in Nan’s for about 6 weeks and it is freezing
· Need to make a list of things to cancel – BT, Electric, Gas, Home Insurance etc and write the letters
· Need to renew my library books (and pay the small fine for being 1 day overdue) – done online so I need to pay the fine when I get into town (30p)
· Keep my mobile on ‘loud’ just in case agencies phone
Think that is about it…..have a great day everyone

morning all. hope you are all having a good monday so far. well done on killing edna fay. you have done so well.
i've got a week off this week and had decided to attempt to toilet train DD who's just turned 2. she was all up for doing wee wee on toilet like big girls and had a practice run when she asked to sit on the toilet. (she's fightened of the potty for some reason but loves the toilet!) but when i had a chat with her this morning about what we were going to do she said no and asked for a nappy on. on the up side she did come and tell me "ser ser need wee wee" (she calls herself ser ser cos she can't pronounce seren which is her name) and sat on the toilet but then asked for her nappy straight back on! so not sure what will happen about that today.
anyway enough rambling

Hi everyone - quick one from me before I go and attack the bombsite that is my house. Today I:
1) Did 4 hours at work
2) Meals from stores
3) Low-ish Spend Day. Milk, paper and I bagged Star Trek to rent from the corner shop. £2.75 from there - far cheaper than Blockbuster!
4) Online survey
5) Checked banking. I thought I was doing ok this month, but I must have forgotten something because now things are looking tight again. Oh well, at least I know.
6) Received £3 LVs and a £10 Amazon voucher from survey sites. Will put them towards Christmas.
7) SCs.
See you later, L x0 -
