    I use old food containers, mostly tubs that (reduced to clear) sandwich fillers came in. I've been saving all my 'shrapnel' (anything under a 10p) since the start of the year, with the intention of counting up next month and using it for a few Christmas extras. I empty my purse of these coins after every 'outing' that involved spending, and once I get some in my change I tuck them away in a section of my purse so I'm not tempted to spend them before I get home ;)

    Thanks Cheryl. I have asked to join the 'Live on £4000 a year' thread for next year. I am hoping that will help to keep me focused.
    Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:
