CO-Op chickens (Ethically raised) half price again

Was dead chuffed to see that CO-OP have their oven-ready (Elmwood range I think it's called?) birds at half price again. They're £1.47 a kilo, so you get a BIG bird for less than £3. That's at least 3 meals for Mr GB & me!
Worth getting an extra for the freezer too, as not only do they have a much nicer life before the inevitable, they're lovely and tasty. Also, great tender texture - none of that nasty chewy, greying meat you sometimes get around the leg bones on other cheap chickens.
Enjoy!

I've never liked co-ops meat, I find it incredibly poor quality. Are these ok then?0

Thanks Granny biker.
Just had a nosey on the co-op website and this says ofer ends tomorow (17th Nov).
I was hoping these were free range chickens, but they are the birds that are still in sheds, but just given a bit more space.

I had one for roast Sunday lunch yesterday and I can vouch for their tastiness and tenderness!0
