Coupons in Asda magazine
worriedfirsttimebuyer
In this month's Asda magazine (with Colleen on the cover), there is a full page of money-off coupons, totalling over £5. Does anyone know if I can redeem these coupons against my shopping even if I haven't bought the items. Is it at the stores discretion?
Thanks for any info.

I know in our local Asda they except any old coupons, but if they are from the Asda magazine with Asda printed on them you do have to buy the product. Dont know if all Asdas are the same0

My local Asda accepts them without buying the product and they scan on the self-scan machines, also without buying the product. The ones in the Asda mag are NCH ones, which means Asda will be reimbursed. Some Asda coupons, like the ones on their recent breakfast promotion leaflets, are not NCH ones and my Asda won't accept those ones unless you buy the product. The policy does vary between stores and most stores have a set percentage which the coupon value cannot exceed. The percentage limit doesn't seem to apply on the self-scan tills though!0

Not sure if Asda will accept them but as I've discovered from posts here Tesco will take the coupons from other supermarkets.
I got the Sainsbury 'Fresh Ideas' mag in the post last week & gave in the £1 Green & Black's ice-cream one at my Tesco without buying the product to test this out & it was accepted! :-)0 -
I work for ASDA and my store will accept 10% of your bill in coupons so long as they are branded e.g. Kelloggs and not ASDA or other supermarket coupons. If you have ASDA coupons like out of the magazine, you need to buy the product. N.B. This is purely the store I work in, don't know what the others do.Wins 2016: Dogfest ticks, B&M dog Hamper, Dog food, Dog blanket, Hair product, meal for 2 and wine at pub, craft bundle, organic surge gift pack, £100 gullivers world voucher, stress out cd, £200 seascape vouchers, popcorn maker, mandarin body butter, Wishing for a holiday win!0

Tesco's take them too, regardless of whether you buy the product - again, up to 10% of your bill. They also accept Asda and Sainsbury's brand coupons0
