I have got a glut of strawberries and wanted to make a strawberry liquer with them, but I only have gin. All the recipes I have found on the net use vodka. Would it be as good using gin, and if so, has anyone got a recipe?
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

I haven't got a recipe but I'm sure it would be fine. You just need to add sugar and leave it to mellow. It might take longer with gin than vodka as it's such a strong taste. I've made elderberry gin this way and after a year or so it was lovely.

I'm sure it would be fine. I have done raspberry gin rather than vodka and have to say that after 2 months now it tastes rather good already!! Should be [STRIKE]lethal[/STRIKE] lovely by Christmas:D"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"

I would maybe guess a wine glass full or abit less - this is how much I use in my Sloe gin, but sloes are mucho bitterer than strawberries - maybe half a wine glass full -100g ? You can always taste and add more.... but cant take it out.0
