removing rust on basket chains

Has anyone had any success on removing the rust from the chains of hanging baskets as they spoil the apperance a bit and i dont want to buy new ones as i have a lot of baskets

    I got the rust off my basket chains using an old brillo pad and some WD40.

    Use some WD40 bring to a shine with a rag.
