Boots Kitchen Appliances - any recent experiences?

I've been on the hunt for a new oven and hob, have quite specific requirements, must be black, want induction hob and oven must be pyrolitic.
I thought I'd found the perfect Smeg one last week and the prices on appliances direct and redhill appliances were similar however went back tonight to order and they've shot up more than £100 for them
So, after much surfing I've found a Whirlpool set but the best price is on Boots Kitchen Appliances (with double advantage points too!) however I remember dire tales from MSE users a while back.
Does anyone have recent experience of Boots Kitchen Appliances?

We ordered a Bosch dishwasher from Boots. Bit dubious because of things I had read on here but because it was so much cheaper decided to give it a go and we had no problems with them.0

I've ordered from them twice, once 3 years ago, and again 2 weeks ago. I had problems with the delivery drivers scratching my Fridgefreezer 3 years ago and customer services were great. I ordered again 2 weeks ago for a Bosch dishwasher (wonder if it's the same one as Carol has?:D) and again no problems. You get a phone call the day before delivery giving you a 4 hour period in which they are delivering, and I got a phone call from the delivery driver about an hour before delivery saying when he'd get here.
I would'nt hesitate to recommend them!
Remember to use your advantage card and Quidco!
It's only a game

We ordered a Bosch tumbler from Boots and had no problems. Would happily use them again.0

I had a washing machine and tumble dryer delivered safely....had opted to have old w/machine taken away hubby unplugged it, put it on driveway and it was collected by a junk man! I was horrified having spent £8 for removal, and phoned boots and said could i change my order (was on the day on delivery it happened) and it was no probs they refunded the £8 immediately:j So customer service was fine!!
Called a couple of times a year later about the warranty expiring did i want their cover etc, but i said no and wasn't bothered again.
I got the quidco and advantage points thro too.Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -
I ordered, bought and received a Bosch tumble drier from them just last week at a price lower than most even including the extra to take away my rubbish Hotpoint. Everything went smoothly (though I had an odd call from the delivery man later asking if he'd delivered a Hotpoint instead of a Bosch!). Note that the calls advising of the delivery time do not say they're calling from Boots but from the company Boots outsource the operation to.
BTW The delivery man did say they hardly ever have to take away Bosch appliances, but see loads of Hotpoint/Indesit/Zanussi etc...0 -
We had a new kitchen fitted and bought all our appliances from Boots. Both CS and the delivery men were really helpful.
I would definitely use them again.

Thanks all, you've put my mind at rest - I guess if 90% of customers are happy they are the ones who keep quiet, it's the 10% who aren't happy that make most noise so I just wanted a current perspective.
I've never used Quidco before so I'm off to have a look at that to see if it's worth it - I do most online shopping via Priority Club shopping but they don't have Boots on the listNO FARMS = NO FOOD0 -
Yes, we ordered a new double oven, a Hotpoint - they werent sure at all of how to deliver to N Ireland, led to confusion, left delivery message on wrong phone, then when the appliance was installed it was faulty.....Boots didn't want to put themsleves out terribly given that they had made 2 mistakes already in process!!!
Have to wait for an engineers visit.......then no doubt they will have to deliver another unit.....so what should have taken 5/6 days now is taking....2-3 weeks...
0 points so far...

I ordered a tumble drier this time last year and they changed the delivery date so many times, failed to turn up when the date was set I eventually cancelled and ordered from Currys. I would never order from them again. Customer service was terrible, they use an automated telepohone service with no people you can speak to and text you as well. This is only my experiance but it has put me off ever using again.0

Only probs I had with them was my quidco order not tracking TWICE. Very annoying as it would have been about £60.0
