These aren't the microwave type but my kid's had these last year, you press the metal disc to warm and then 'recharge' them by simmering in a pan of boiling water, it was the m&s one's they had with little fleece covers but I noticed that Lidl are also selling these for 99p.

I had similar ones from Lidl. They were more of a novelty for my children. They liked to click the metal bit and feel it go warm but it took quite a bit of faff to bring them to the boil in a pan. You have to put a cloth in the bottom of the pan so the metal disc doesn't touch the metal of the pan.
My daughter has the penguin from Sainsburys. It's loads better than the other type. Far easier to put them in the microwave.0 -
I've bought these from wilkinsons in the past because i got a couple for pressie's, but they are not showing online, might be worth a look at your local store if you have one0

They have the microwavable ones in my local morrisons at the moment lots of animals, elephants, ducks, pigs, cows, sheeps etc all £7. I did buy one for my daughter but found she was allergic to the lavander they put in them! I also looked at play.com which do them from £7.99 with free delivery.:hello:"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing it doesn't go in a fruit salad0

I gave up with the microwave hot warmers and went back to a traditional hot water bottle. I found the microwave versions did not retain the heat for long enough and that was after making sure it was piping hot as it came out of the microwave.
The nice thing with the microwave warmers is they are great for kids with the variety of toys in which they can be placed. My daughter loves her cuddly bear warmer, but ultimately it does not stay warm for long, where as I bought her a novelty hot water bottle from a gift shop which although not quite as cute as the teddy bear, keeps her warmer for longer.0 -
