usb record player work on mains??

I saw this in the aldi newsletter and wonder if anyone knows if it also plugs into the mains to use as a stand alone record player?

It's a way to the shop so if not will have to ring them up.

I bought one of these on Thursday....I plugged it into my surround sound amp as there is no internal speaker/ amp in the record player itself.

I thought the sound was ok for a £40 record player.

I have yet to figure out the software (included) to record onto a PC and convert to MP3 s.

I am just enjoying listening to my records that I have had stored in the loft for over 15 years.

great thanks for the reply can you use it as a stand alone record player? I guess not if it hasn't got speakers?

No.... you will need to plug it into an external speaker a lead is supplied (red and white phono plugs)...I just used my surround sound amp.

thanks sorry for being a bit daft but daughter is loking for a cheap record player for her bedroom. So if she puts it in the bedroom with no computer it won't work even if I plug into it some speakers? Or will it work like that. She doesn't have a computer in her beroom and wants to use it there. Ta!
