CSA payments not going to the children

Is there anything that can be done when a PWC is recieving CSA from NRP and still the children get nothing.
My stepdaughter is and has for the past 6 weeks loaned her mother money from her EMA every week and not recieved itback from her, yet she has to buy her own lunch, clothes etc out of it.Surely that EMA is for educational purposes hence EDUCATION MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE.
As for my stepson, he gets paste for his lunch and has told his .... that he dont even like it. We are loaning my stepdaughter money ( which we do not take back when offered ) to get her through the week for things like tickets to see shows (as part of her drama A-Level) etc EDUCATIONAL things that her EMA should be used on.

Not very helpful I realise, but, the csa is not about providing money for children, it is about reducing the burdon on the state, so long as you pay they pretty much don't give a hoot what the pwc does with it. This pwc will not be the first to look upon payments as "jolly money" rather than it's supposed purpose.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

If the children are going without then it is not for the csa but social services. Ring them up and discuss your concerns:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

I have to agree Dancing Shoes - if you feel that the children are being deprived of their needs - then by all means, involve Social Services. The EMA money being 'borrowed' may be for help with transportation costs, bus tickets, petrol, etc. in order to get the child to school......who knows. But....again if you think the children are being deprived, then do what any adult should do in that situation and report it......or.......failing that, go for custody so that you can provide a better upbringing for them.0

The money may still not be enough for the PWC to survive - housing costs, food, bills etc. If your stepdaughter is being neglected then contact social services, but otherwise no. TBH there aren't many costs involved in schooling other than transport and lunch costs - books are provided by the school; I can't see that it would cost her £30 per week for school based costs.0

EMA was introduced as an incentive to study - paid extra for going out etc (the carrot method parents with money would use).
Assuming both children are still under 19, nothing has changed income wise for mother. If there are doubts over how well looked after the children are, as others have said it is social services you need to report to.
If there is little contact between the childrens natural parents, be careful - sometimes children will manipulate their parents to get the maximum they can for themselves.0
