£10 agency weekly fee?

Hi money savers,

I've been working a job agency for over a year now and wanted to know if the £10 weekly fee they deducted from my pay was correct.
This fee is deducted from my take home pay after I pay tax and NI on it.
Is this allowed and can I claim the tax back?

Any help would be appreciated.

So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Apparently its supposed to be some admin fee for processing the wages which are paid by PAYE.

Don't think its a umbrella company. It's part of a much bigger privately owned company.

Contractors have to provide their own steel toe cap boots.

That doesn't make a difference. We can't give any constructive help with such limited information.

  • The agency in question is called SCR. Its part of the SCH group.

There is a lot of information for agency workers here:

If you cannot find the answer to your question, you can scroll down to the bottom and complete the enquiry form.
