Recieved a letter from them today, debt from Bank of Scotland has been passed onto them, it's too late to phone them nowm as they say they are only open till 12:30 on Saturdays.
The debt is £1045.98, i was setting up payments with BOS for £10 a month before they passed this on, will Albion settle for £10 a month too?

It depends on whether they believe this is all you can afford based on the rest of your income & essential expenditure.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Albion collections are part of HBoS, along with Blair Oliver &Scott.0

It is all i can afford at the moment, until i pay my store cards off.
Do i need to tell them i have a part time job? Can i not just tell them i only have my student loan.0 -
they may ask for copy bank statments / proof of income which may backfire0

if they ask for that, do i need to show them, legally?0

I had my debt passed to them.
They were fina and acccepted my payment of £40 per month no promlem. I had been offering this to Bank of Scotland for months but they always ignored my letters
The only problem was they couldn't freeze interest or charges, so even though I have been making a payment, I actually now owe more!
Last month it was passed to Blair, Oliver and Scott. I spoke to them today, all charges stopped and interest freezed and they are still accepting my £40 pm. They tried to go for £54 and want a new SOA.
They're going to have a shock as I've just completed it and actually cant afford £40 anymore due to decrease in tax credits!Lightbulb moment Dec 2005 - debt £23700
June 2010 - £17984.210 -
Never agree to an amount that you cannot afford, and don't worry about the threats that they make, they are just threats and nothing will happen over a debt of £1045.98 no matter what they tell you. If they don't accept the amount you can afford just make this payment anyway (£10). Eventually the account will be closed and sold on (usually in house) and at that point interest and charges will cease to be applied if they haven't stopped already and they can see that you have a track record of paying £10 pm and will then probably agree to this.
After making this payment for a few months they will realise that your situation is unlikely to improve and that full payment is not forthcoming it will take them 5+ years to receive the full amount. At this point they will offer you a settlement figure usually around 50% of what you owe if you are unable to pay this after a few months they will probably ask for just £250 to settle.0 -
thanks for that. Do you think i should phone them or send them a letter? As at the moment i don't think they have my house number (mums house) And i dont want them to have it, and they have my old mobile number, but not my new one, and i don't really want them to have that either.0

No , you legally do not have to provide them with any info.Tell them nothing. Only a court can ask for that (if it ever got that far )Take control and just tell them what you are going to pay them and stick to that figure. They usually contact you some months down the line asking if your situation has changed Blah, Blah. But stick to your guns and ONLY pay what you can afford even if it is a lesser ammount.0 -
thank you!0
