I would rather have ten pounds in a Post Office savings account than 150 million pounds of debt. Bit last decade all that debt stuff don't you think?0 -
Not necessarily. Did you see the state of the house they had built for them? And the behaviour they exhibit does not speak of real money, which is usually a lot quieter. I suspect they may end a whole lot more broke than most members of this forum. They have been talking about selling off these houses for several months, maybe a year now. All depends on the banks patience I suspect.

the banks patience seems to be ok as they're still there after all that's gone on - i don't think they're great people but they will do well what ever happens to property.0 -

they're debt wouldn't be against them as individuals but against their company that ran the properties. their personal debt liabilities would be minimal but their assets outside their company wouldn't be touched.

If you collected rent from 900 houses for two months and shoved it into a pension .... and it then takes a couple of years to go fully t1ts up ... can the authorities grab the money back out of the fund?
900 x 2 x £600 = £1million.0 -

Is that a good thing ? I can honestly say that I would sooner be me, even if I was eating out of bins than be Fergus Wilson. Looking in from the outside their punsishment is being the people they are.
I still don't understand this idea that money is everything, if you're a nasty, selfish, unintelligent etc... no amount of money can redeem you.0
