Electoral Roll
Hi there just joined up.
I've been in the process of getting a loan, but have been turned down by Santander then Zopa (thankfully they don't show on your credit profile).
I thought I'd have been able to get money pretty easy, but that seems to be the least of my issues.
Because I was declined I decided to check my credit score.
According to Experian I have a good rating of 900, however they say I am not on the electoral roll.
I checked with the Electoral Register office and I am on it, however the voters roll seems to have me down under a slightly different address to what I use for all other accounts (bank, credit card, Hire Purchase).
I checked my Equifax report and it confirms they say I am on the electoral roll at the address I have applied for loans in, and the same as the above existing accounts.
I can't understand why two reports say different things. And also why I have never had any difficulty till now of taking out credit cards, hire purchase at the address I state.
Zopa say they use Equifax so the electoral roll issue couldn't have been the reason for refusl, but I'm worried it may be with Experian saying I'm not on it.

If you want to improve things with Experian you could change the form of address you use with credit providers to the same form as used on the electoral roll. That will increase the chance of a match that finds your electoral roll information. The credit reference agencies look it up based on the addresses that you supply to the financial companies.0
