First time Property buyer - On Ancestral Visa

Hello,

My wife an i are living in London on an acestral visa. We have recently just extended our visas for another 5 years (now in our 5th year living here in the UK) with the intention to apply for ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) when we qualify in the next several months.

We have recently come into an inheritance allowing us to be able to put down 20 - 30% deposit on a property of GBP300k - The figure is only used as a reference point.. not even remotely sure how much we would be able to get.

We are desparate to get away from paying someone else's bond - we currently cough up GBP1350 a month for rent at the moment.

For any brokers reading this: any advice on how we can go about applying for a pre-approved bond, etc ... and possible offering of your services would be greatly appreciated.
