  • Thanks OP, mine is on it's way to my local.

I'm new to all this so can I ask a dumb question or two?

    What does GWP mean ?

Skinnies are the slips from the till for reductions, yes?

Anything else I should know ?

    thankyou

A GWP is a Gift With Purchase. The skinnies are the slips we'll get till 1st December from the till, but they'll change then to something else, and will be suitably christened!

Sweetie, there's millions of things you need to know! If you look here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1569859

it's one of the last Boots Grabbit threads, and shows loads of abbreviations.

Don't beat yourself up if you can't grasp everything immediately. It takes a good while to become conversant with things, and to be able to work out the best deals, but everyone is very helpful. HTH

Got my pedicure set last night in store with the GWP. It would not let me use the 250 points voucher i had if i bought no7 stuff cos apparently you cant mix two offers so the till was telling her and beeping away.

    GWP - Gift With Purchase.

  • The £49.99 mirror, reduced to £19.99 (£18 for the over 60s) entitles you to two free gifts, so a Boots Logic Cost of £13. :j

If you have a £5 mailing voucher for an over £30 spend, it will work on this, so you then get a £49.99 gift and 2 x GWPs for (drum roll) ........... £8!!! :T:T

    xx

I've been trying to work out how it would cost £13 but have failed...??? :o

Okey dokey. It costs £19.99, but the over 60s discount brings it down to £18.

If you have the voucher for over £30 spend on electrical, the till will see the original price as £49.99, so you'll get another fiver off, making it £13.

And don't forget the vouchers in the GWPs!;) HTH

Not trying to be awkward..but didn't you take the £5 voucher off twice, firstly to get to £13, then down to £8?..or did you take inot account the vouchers in GWP's too?

(Lol, I just don't get this Boots thing. We only have a small branch here, & everything apart from own branded products of course, can be bought for less in the local shops. I never bothered with an advantage card as I only use Boots for the odd Christmas gift set, but this year, whilst shopping on line, I thought what the heck & applied for one.
Sadly, I now find I face at least a 50 mile round trip to find a store with an ACM to credit my points, so of course, not worth the petrol, ha ha!
I've never seen a voucher in anything No7 I've bought either. Heyho!)

One of the vouchers is a £5 mailing voucher, when you spend £30 on electricals. The till sees the purchase at its original price, so you get this discount.

Then you get 2 x GWPs, each of which has a 250 points coupon, so that's another fiver!

So, even if you don't get the mailing, it'll "cost" you £13, and if you get the mailing, it'll "cost" you £8. HTH

  • Just to update......have just checked on website and this is still working!!! So they havent sorted the glitch yet!!

So to confirm look at the No7 electricals cos they are less than 1/2 price and if the original price is more than £22.00 then u get ur GWP.
Never buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!!
