I am now getting excited about Christmas - this is a great CD, only 3 missing Slade, George Michael and Band Aid!!
I love the fact that there are choir options, sos won't play them often, but they do have their place, wouldn't usually buy like the option to play over Christmas.
Thanks OPACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -
You can also listen to a bit of each track on the HMV website

I love listening to the traditional Christmas Carols being sung by choirs while I am making mince pies, baking the Christmas cake, preparing the mulled wine etc. In the days and weeks leading up to Christmas.
Part of my Traditional Christmas preparation.
On Christmas Eve night, we come back from Mid-night mass, have a mince pie and mulled wine, wish each other a merry Christmas, then all the family clear off to bed whilst I put the sherry and mince pie out for Santa and carrot for Rudolph....
By the time everyone gets up in the morning, Santa has been to deliver his pressies, the sherry glass is empty, crumbs where the pie once stood, and naughty rudolf has left the top of his carrot ( even has teeth marks)
Santa has even been known to leave a trail of snowy footprints through the house...
My eldest is in her 20's now, but they all still like out family traditions.
Christmas day I have the cd playing the traditional carols again whilst I prepare lunch.... accompanied by regular demands to "switch that racket off"..... but the rule is if the carols go off, the cook goes on strike
Is it too early to wish everyone a Merry Christmas while we are on the festive topic ?
Quidco tells me there are only 41 days to Christmas :eek:0 -
Ee gads! 41 days!!
Santa used to leave a whacking thumb print on my mum’s Christmas cake in the old house we lived in when we were kids [my mum used to leave some out for him every year]. He’d come through the cellar too after climbing in through the chimney and leave soot all over the floor of the cellar. The cellar was the only way he could come in as we had gas fires in both the front and back rooms of that house, the cellar had an open fire in it. We knew it was him as you could see his boot prints in the soot.
Merry Christmas everyone! :xmassmile0 -

I was getting sentimental for Christmas after posting the above offer and went to YouTube to listen to some of these songs. I couldn’t resist. And did you know it was Peter Auty who originally sung Walking In The Air from The Snowman and not Aled Jones, though he did sing a very good rendition of it.0
