Posture support

Hiya, I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for posture/back support braces? I don't have any bad problems (if not doing excessive sports), but my posture is rather poor, and its hard for me to keep thinking, and stop slouching.....
There seems to be a poverty of braces on big internet shops, so I wonder if anyone had any links to effective ones, or just another way of correcting my posture (that doesn't include joining the army).
thanks

Alexander Technique - find a local teacher and a few sessions should sort you out!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Back braces ultimately weaken the back muscles and cause it to become more reliant on the brace than it previously was so I would advise not going down this route. The Alexander technique as mentioned by Savvy or Pilates would be the way to go.0

About 3 weeks ago I bought a "Shoulders Back" off of eBay. Best £40 I've ever spent - about the cost of ONE Alexander session (used to do those - bakc in the days when I had cash!).
It is basically like a pad on your back with a strap around your middle (under boobs) and then two straps that secure your shoulders back. They recommend wearing for an hour or all day - but the velcro straps start to hurt under my arms. So I only wear it when I am sitting at my desk at work and boy have I noticed a difference.
Even when it's off I can now feel myself standing taller and standing with my shoulders back, chest out, and basically feeling more confident and not slouching like the slouch potato I used to be.
Highly recommended. If you want the rainbow, you've gotta put up with the rain :hello:0
