Best Ipod touch 8gb deal?

Have been looking for a while for DD xmas pressie and this is the best I can find. Currys are doing the 3rd generation model for £149, this is more than some places but includes a £25 itunes gift card and also an Ipod speaker dock supposedly worth £35. So overall we thought this was the best we are going to get this side of xmas. I cant see it on line so may be instore only.

I have literally just bought this instore. You can reserve online and pay instore. The speaker is small but doesn't actually sound too bad0

Can I also add that Currys insurance for the Ipod touch is fab, replaceable for 3 years for accidental damage with no other costs involved! And it doesnt have to be bought from there either.....
..... I paid £34.99 with Argos when Ds dad bought his and he smashed the screen in 4 days :-( shame I didnt read the small print, once you claim with Argos for accidental damage the insurance ceases, RIP OFF!!
Currys is cheaper and replacable no matter what for nothing for 3 years! Perfect!!0 -
Apple do a refurbished 8gb ipod touch (2nd gen) for £119 inc 1 year warranty.
I bought a refurbished ipod over a year ago (my 3rd one) and can honestly say there has been no difference between the refurb and the ones I bought in store. My ipod is still going strong, despite me dropping it left right and centre on a regular basis!
The one and only difference that is notable is the fact that the refurbs come in an unlabelled white cardboard box, whereas the ones in the shops have fancier packaging. I gave my boyfriend a refurb ipod as a present as well and he didnt even know, until I told him!0 -
Apparently, only the 32Gb & 64Gb are updated with new hardware, so the 8Gb is exactly the same as the 2nd gen. (some people are reporting that the battery on the 'newer' one is worse....2014 running challenge 471.95 km / 1000 km.0

Oh well we have bought it now and I think with the £25 voucher we are happy, either way it has a warranty and Im sure dd will be over the moon anyway!0

I have just bought a 4th gen 8gb ipod (my daughter actually prefers this version to the 5th gen) for £86 in Sainsbury's, Iread on Hot UK deals that Toys'r'us had them for £79.

I'm guessing that these prices are for the Nano, whereas the OP was looking at the Touch.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
