Along the same lines as the initial post:
I travel 130 miles weekly to collect my son for my contact with him. Can the CSA allow me a certain part of my income against this travel expense?0 -
hi plok, i know on the departure form there is a section for travelling to see your children that you can complete. we r on the old system but i dont know if you can do this on the new. give them a ring and ask them. if u on old system u defo can dont let them tell u otherwise.0

,Yes have filled in numerous forms.
No, departure not allowed on any occasion - even when travel costs were 4 hour round trip every other Friday and Sunday.
The reason/excuse? For the first few times It doesn't change the assessment because of the protected income level threshold - They were already taking 30% but the assessment said they should be taking more, so any change had to breach that threshold.
Then a breakthrough it was allowed. We were allowed travel expenses yippee! -
........ Don't get too excited - because it didn't change the amount by more than £x amount for X pick a number as it changed every time! They were not going to change the amount we paid. - X amount was £10 on one assessment, now £40 a month may not have been much to them or to the PWC but it was to us at the time!
So don't get your hopes up - sorry!0 -
Thanks Hoggie - and sorry for "hi-jacking" your post!0
