Halifax - consent to let

Hi all,
First post so please be gentle!
Anyone any experience with Halifax and requests for 'consent to let'??
Are they pretty much ok about it or is it rare for them to agree? Don't know if it makes any difference but I've been with them for 15 years and never had any payment issues. Also rent will be way over mortgage payments so no issue with payments, and I can cover if not let for a couple of months a year.
Cheers in advance.

We just got consent to let from Halifax, no problems and took about 5 minutes.
They then spent another 15 minutes trying to sell us landlords insurance...Live on £11k in 20110 -
Hiya, sorry to bump and old thread but I'm with the Halifax and hoping to get consent to let. Can I just ask what product you were on, I'm on SVR, and also lynda, how much did it cost? jsh99 did you get yours sorted ok?0

Hi, it is a fixed rate mortgage and lasts until Feb 2011 before changing to SVR. Because of that there were no fees, and no changes to the mortgage interest rate or anything, as it already has exit penalites etc etc. Might be different on SVR though?Live on £11k in 20110
